Geoffrey Waring is a writer, translator, and musician from Seattle, WA. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University in 2012, and has worked on staff at Granta, Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art, and Soho Press.

Geoffrey is the former guitarist of Brooklyn-based indie rock band Crater, and Seattle groups Attention! Murakami and The Black Mountain Dance Hall. His fiction has appeared in publications such as No. 2 Mag, MonkeyBicycle, Fugue, decomP magazinE, and Blue Moon, among others.

He is currently translating new Japanese and Chinese language fiction, and working on his forthcoming novel, The Lonesome Crowded West.
